Rental price
Setting the price for renting a car consists of two steps:
- 1. creating price types by the number of rented days
- Using the "Add price type" button, we can create a price type for that number of days for which we want to apply different rental rates. For example, if we want to gradually reduce rates when renting for 7, 15, 30 days, then we will create 3 types of prices - the first for 7 days, the second for 15 days and the third for 30 days - fig. below. For each price type, administrator can set whether it is a daily tariff or a lump sum (fixed pausal price), and optionally set also seasonal validity through the year.
- 2. setting the rental price for each price type and each vehicle (price matrix)
- In this step, we define specific prices for a specific car for a specific price type.
Once all prices properly set, a table with price matrix will generate in which we can quickly find or modify a specific rate for specific car - see the figure below.

How the rental price is calculated
First, the total number of rental days shall be determined. Depending on selected strategy, rental price will be calculated either by the exact number of hours (from pick-up to return time) or by the number of days. When calculated by days one can also set tolerance of hours for delayed car return.
Once the total rental duration determined, the tariff for the closest higher number of days will be sought. In the example above, when renting for 13 days, then the 15-days tariff will apply. The rental price is then determined as a multiple of rental days and found tariff. In case of flat price, the rental price is fixed, and so no recalculation based on the number of rented days occurs. If the client is granted a permanent discount (VIP discount) in his account settings, the discount will apply to the calculated amount.
The price for accessories (fridge, GPS, ..) will be added to the main rental price. If applicable, VIP client discount will apply too. If site owner is a VAT payer, a tax sum will be added to price for the rental and accessories.

Auxiliary tool - rental price calculation
An auxiliary search tool at the top of the page can be utilized to quickly check whether the rental price for a particular car is set correctly. The tool simulates the order - meaning the same price would be displayed to the customer when placing the order. After selecting a specific car and entering rental dates, the total price is calculated after clicking on the "Lookup" button.
